How to Get an Accurate Garage Door Quote

A few useful details at the start of an enquiry make it easier to recommend a garage door and prepare a relevant quote. You do not need a perfect technical drawing. Here is what to send Door King so we can understand the opening and what you want supplied.

1. Opening width and height

Measure the clear garage opening, width × height, in millimetres. Tell us if the measurements are approximate. Our standard product listings include single and double sizes, but the right option depends on the actual opening, so it helps to start with your own measurements.

2. A straight-on photograph

Take a photograph from outside showing the full garage opening and some of the surrounding wall. If there is an existing door, include it in the photo. A picture gives us context that measurements alone cannot show and helps us identify any questions to ask before quoting.

3. Your suburb

Location helps us check delivery and installation options. If you need installation, tell us the suburb and mention any site details that may affect access. Installation is quoted separately for the specific job.

4. Design, colour and what you need included

Tell us the look you prefer, even if you do not know the product name. You might like the raised panels of our Block Design insulated door or the smooth finish and glass section of our Velvet glass-panel door. A reference photo is helpful too.

Also say whether you need supply only or a quote for installation. If you have a motor preference or an existing motor you want us to consider, mention that in the enquiry. We will confirm what is included for the exact door and option quoted.
